Daliyon ka Dagriya (DKD) -The friend of trees – is a International not-for-profit, Non Government organization (NGO) .
As its name meaning suggest – The Friends of Trees – is a real environmental friendly organization nestle in the foothills of majestic Himalayas on the bank of Alkananda-Ganga River in Uttarakhand state of India.
Daliyon Ka Dagriya (DKD) was established in 1973
at Raini village of District Chamoli – Uttarkhand, India by some energetic youth force of CHIPKO movement in Uttarakhand Garhwal. Now most of them are renowned figures.
Team DKD is actively conducting various activities for the cause of Humanity, Environment, Climate change, Himalayan resources etc with the help of Local, National and International affiliations.
The organization was also awarded for the vibrant activities. International prestigious award – Indira Priyadarshini Virakcha Mitra Purushkar from Government of India – Ministry of Environment & forest in the year 1987.


Team Daliyon Ka Dagriya is active in conducting various activities and Field works in the area of – Climate change, Disaster Management, Environment and Natural Resource Management, Women empowerment, Child development, Dalit Welfare, Empowerment Training and development etc.
Our International Affiliation
International-Collaboration partnered with TDH Germany, Oxfam - Hong Kong, Active International Sweden, Natural Resource Institute, Manitoba-Canada, FK-Norway, RECPHEC-Kathmandu, Nepal, and WBB Trust-Bangladesh.
Our affiliation with International partner and quality of field work has earned us laurel from govt. Institutions both National and International, public and private both. Activities in different spheres of life given us strength and International exposure and immence field experience.

Objective
• To develop the resilience of smallholders specifically women farmers and to mainstream climate change adaptation in government programs and schemes • To recognize women farmer’s role in agriculture and develop their economic leadership by enhancing their knowledge, access to resources and ability to establish market linkages.
